Slice of Heaven

Where fire meets tradition, and every bite tells a story

"The secret to a perfect pizza is patience, fire, and the courage
to keep it beautifully simple."

— Marco Vitelli, Head Pizzaiolo

Brick wood-fired pizza oven with glowing flames

Neapolitan tradition since 1987

Crafted from fire,
born from tradition.

Since 1987, Slice of Heaven has been hand-crafting wood-fired pizza in the heart of New York City. Our hand-built Neapolitan brick oven reaches 900°F, producing pies with a perfectly charred crust and molten center that no electric oven can replicate.

Every dough is proofed for 48 hours. Every sauce is slow-cooked from San Marzano tomatoes. Every ingredient is sourced with obsessive care from local farms and trusted Italian importers.

What Our Guests Say

"The Margherita changed the way I think about pizza. No gimmicks, no excess — just flawless technique and ingredients that taste like they were grown for this exact moment."

Marco Vitelli

Guest since 2019

"The Funghi & Truffle is genuinely the most sophisticated pizza I've tasted outside Naples. The truffle crema paired with fontina is a masterclass in restraint."

James Okafor

Food Critic, The Local Table

"There is a reason I've brought every first date here for six years. This place has an energy that is impossibly warm, and the Prosciutto e Rucola is a love letter to Italian cuisine."
